About Patrick Hamilton Photography

Photography is my passion and my profession.

With over 25 years of creative experience I laid the foundations for my career , graduating in Applied Photography from Griffith University's renowned Queensland College of Art . As a staff photojournalist for The Australian Newspaper for 20 years, my unique editorial journey saw me share the stage with royalty, political figures, sporting heroes and everyday Australians.

This depth of experience, and a multi award winning body of work of 14 International and National photographic awards including the coveted Walkley Award ,The Most Outstanding Contribution to Journalism Award and the worldwide publishing project Moments of Intimacy Laughter & Kinship (MILK) , I can deliver images on location and in the studio environment with a relaxed but professional approach capturing graphic images in both natural and created light. 

Editorial and corporate assignments are treated with the same creative approach with an understanding of the subject and the clients specific needs paramount. 

I contribute images to Australian and International newspapers, magazines, news agencies and commercial clients .

Located in Brisbane, Australia , I am available for assignments of any genre.
